Curating an art exhibition involves managing and showcasing diverse artistic collections. My experience in working in a team in curating art events has been an eye-opening opportunity as I learned how to captivate and inspire audiences in the gallery. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of artistic narratives, I strongly believe that creating immersive and thought-provoking gallery experiences will connect artists and their audiences to foster a dialogue between art and the community. With a positive feedback track record of joyful nights, I am poised to contribute my expertise and innovative approach to curatorial endeavours, ensuring a dynamic and engaging cultural impact.

Southsure Art Awards
Leader for the food catering team
End 2018

Over the past four months, leading the food catering team for this event has been an enlightening experience. Emphasizing mutual respect and collaborative idea-sharing proved crucial for the team's success, especially given our tight budget. Despite limited resources, we took on the challenge of preparing the food ourselves, resulting in a triumphant evening. The audience enjoyed the food and engaged in lively discussions about the artwork. However, the experience also highlighted the importance of addressing hiccups promptly. For instance, inadequate discussion about kitchen cleanup timing left some members dissatisfied. Recognizing such areas allows us to refine our approach for future events

As far as I know, there was an increase in guests who came in for the event. I guess good food does attract visitors!
Event 2

A Week's Internship at
The Eastern Southland Gallery
Mid 2018

This is a great opportunity for me in understanding how a gallery operates. At here I would like to say thank you to my program manager, Kathryn Mccully, for recommending me to this one week internship at the Eastern Southland Gallery (ESG) at Gore, New Zealand. I was welcomed warmly by the curator of ESG, Jim Geddes along with his wife, Marcella Geddes.
Event 3
There are two exhibition coming up, one is Against the Grain - NZ Women Artist from the Collection in ESG and the other is Maruawai - Valley of Water by Janet de Wagt. This involves installing and deinstalling previous works to a new one.
The first installation is Maruawei - Valley of Water by Janet de Wagt.
These works were borrowed from other galleries. We will need to put extra care when installing each art works.
